How We Can Make More Money Available To Our Community
The Wild Rivers Community Foundation strives to be a leader in communicating the value of keeping local resources and capital within the Wild Rivers region to support our community’s diverse array of organizations and issues. Each year sizable amounts of money leave Del Norte and Curry Counties in income and estate taxes. Estate tax (tax on the value of your property upon your death), more than any other form of tax, can be avoided entirely through charitable planned gifts, some forms of which generate guaranteed income for the donor, a surviving spouse or heir. Working with the Humboldt Area Foundation, we can provide individual assistance to donors, in consultation with their professional advisors, to create a planned gift to meet their needs and make a positive difference.
