The Wild Rivers Community Foundation encourages giving to local charitable organizations either by contacting them directly, contributing to an existing fund, or establishing a new fund.
Charitable gifts can be made to an existing fund or to establish a new fund at the Foundation. Donations can be made in the form of cash, estate bequests, gifts of appreciated real property or securities, and gifts from personal or family trusts. Working with the Humboldt Area Foundation, the Wild Rivers Community Foundation has professional advisers available, entirely free of charge, to assist donors in determining the suitability of different kinds of gifts, and the potential tax advantages and opportunities to increase current income that each kind of gift provides.
